Ustabe Fleming Plantation #2 Sugar Hill

In the swamps south of Lafitte, LA, the fishing villages are known as "Ustabes" (used to bes). As 2008's Hurricane Dolly struck the Texas coast, I set out by boat to capture the stories of the Ustabes. The collection is "poem meets police report."
