“Laissez les bons temps rouler" is the popular Louisiana French Cajun phrase that
translates to "let the good times roll.”
It has become the unofficial slogan for our region, representing a certain joie de vivre in South Louisiana. It’s our way of wishing others happiness and is an expression of optimism when faced
with life’s recurring adversities.
20 years ago, Hurricane Katrina dramatically transformed our lives, including my career as an artist;
I began documenting our cherished corner of America’s Wetlands in oil on canvas and
watercolor/ pen and ink.
We’ve come a long way since then, and still know how to “pass a good time.”
This collection of landscape paintings is a representation of those good times in South Louisiana, showcasing various locations at different times of day and night.
Enjoy Les Bons Temps.
Ça c'est bon.
