Louisiana Wild

Will joined the Jean Bragg Gallery in 2009; and as an environmental activist, he painted the vanishing way of life in the Louisiana wetlands and coastal region in a series he termed “Ustabe” (Used to be). These paintings documented the old fishing camps in the swamps south of Lafitte. His first solo show in April 2011. Today’s Special, The Journey of Louisiana Seafood, from Camp to Counter commemorated the anniversary of the disastrous BP Oil Spill. A second similarly themed show Beyond Land’s End followed in August 2014. This show, Louisiana Wild again takes us on a journey through these wetlands with a close-up view of native wild flowers.
